Bursaries

CAA aims to provide a limited number of bursaries each year for students and low-waged delegates, giving priority to those who are unable to find sufficient funding locally.

Preference will be given to those who are participating in the conference by presenting a paper, leading a workshop, or speaking at a round table. Students are encouraged to apply.

To submit an application for a travel bursary, please send:

  • a letter of interest in English, that includes poster or paper name if presenting,
  • a budget,
  • the desired funding amount
  • information about other funding sources, and
  • a current CV with photo.

All bursary applications must be received by December 22, 2009 to be considered and applicants will be notified by email of the Bursary Committee's decision by January 15, 2010. All bursaries awarded will be distributed at the conference and will need to be collected in person (with photo ID) at a time and place to be announced at the conference.
