CAA'2010 - Full Papers

Full Papers -Extended Abstracts-

April 6, 2010 – April 9, 2010

Authors are invited to submit papers (max. 4 pages in A4 format) using the CAA style file, and it will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

Extended abstracts should include text and images and include the aims and methods of the presentation.The extended abstracts should contain the name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation, email address, the title of the presentation, a few (3-5) meaningful keywords and the text, images and references. Authors can propose the name of the session they would like to join among those sessions already defined. If none of predefined sessions matches author's idea, select the session named "other", so the organizers can allocate the paper the most appropiate session, or even define a new one.

The extended abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Commitee, and some of them might be redirected to short paper or poster sessions or required for some minor revisions. During the conference, each accepted paper will be presented and discussed during 20' by their authors.

After the CAA'2010 conference, usually two months later, the final version of the paper (up to 8 pages length) will be required in order to be reviewed by the Scientific Commitee and, if accepted, published in the CAA2010 Proceedings.

More over, best papers will be prized with the possiblity of publishing a more extended version in several journals about Archeology, Cultural Heritage and New Technology.

CAA'2010 - Short Papers

Authors are invited to submit abstracts of 300-500 words in length, which will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Short papers are appropriate for case studies or ongoing projects while long papers are for presenting innovative approaches or completed projects.

CAA'2010 - Round Tables Proposals

Round table organizers should provide :

  • an invitation of 300 to 500 words introducing the discussion topic.

  • a list of six to eight panel members (names, e-mails and affiliations) from at least three different countries.The round table organizer must ensure that the panel members agree to attend the conference and take part in the round table.

CAA'2010 - Session Proposals

Session Proposals

Those researchers interested in proposing a session theme for CAA2010, should

  • Provide a session description of 300 to 500 words, describing precisely the scope and aim of the session.
  • Define the topic, explain its importance and the features of the research community that might be interested in contributing to this session.
A session will consist of one 90-minute block of time. It consists of 20'-30' presentations of the papers submitted as extended abstracts (deadline Dec. 15th 2009) and should include time for debate and discussion as well as an introduction and a wrap-up. In case there were more than four papers accepted per session, new session slots will be scheduled whenever possible.

After the call for sessions finishes, the scientific committee will proposed extra sessions to cover another interesting topics that may have not been covered by the proposals.

Session proposers may send one or more extended abstracts of papers to be presented, but always after the final list of sessions is published. All session proposals will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee for their quality and relevance. Once a proposal has been accepted, it is placed on the conference web page, and an invitation is issued for paper abstracts to be submitted to this session.

The session organizer will be responsible for scheduling the order of presentations and presiding over the session.


The abstracts of papers will be submitted after the sessions are defined, by the 20th of November
